provide a cost savings of $500,000 in an effort to limit more significant cuts to the classroom.

Uffelman, Burks to consolidate

MONTEREY -- Uffelman Elementary may be consolidating with Burks Middle School.
The Putnam County School Board has approved having a feasibility study done that will look into adding a wing on Burks Middle School to accommodate Uffelman students. Rather than fixing up the aging Uffelman School, Director of Putnam County Schools Dr. Kathleen Airhart believes moving the students to Burks would be a sensible solution...[more] |

Schools achieve accreditation status
